MSEL Newsletter 8/22/23

FALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

We are excited to welcome you and your students back for another year of Middle School Esports League competitions! Registration is open now.

What's new?

First, in case you missed our announcement earlier this summer: Generation Esports and Nintendo Expand Official Partnership. These three fan-favorite games will return to MSEL competitions this fall! Next, MSEL is expanding! All Fall Major competitions will feature two conferences, Atlantic and Pacific, grouping schools together by their time zone. This will enable us to crown twice as many winners and schedule playoff matches at more school-friendly times. Perhaps the most important part of all? The MSEL Fall Major will be completely free-to-compete, thanks to Gaming Concepts, a series of esports courses designed to leverage gaming to engage students and teach life skills.

Upcoming Webinars

It can be daunting to start an esports program. Our Service Team is here to help! Join us for a New Program or Returning Program webinar and we’ll get you squared away. Our first New Program webinar is Thursday and you can register here!

Esports Courses

Generation Esports’ Gaming Concepts uses video games and esports to teach students standards-based skills, including problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. A recent study also found that students enrolled in a Gaming Concepts course had an 8% higher attendance rate over their peers who were not. Could Gaming Concepts help your school?
